こんにちは。M2の石井です。
11/12~17に開催されたSC23に参加してきました。
開催地はアメリカのデンバーで、内陸地だったこともあり、空気がとても乾燥していて唇と手が常にカサカサでした。
僕が参加したセッションは、研究でソフトウェアを作る際の考え方や、HPCにおけるkubernetesの扱いを教えてくれ、とてもためになりました。
展示ブースでは、企業の事業内容や他の大学の研究内容を聞いたりして刺激をうけることができました。
自分の研究の説明も行う機会もあったのですが、うまく言語化できず、自分が伝えたいことを伝えきれず、悔しい思いをしました。
英語が苦手なので、今回参加するのがとても不安でしたが、
最終的にはとても楽しめ、研究＋英語へのモチベーションが高まったのでとてもよかったです。
We held a Imoni Festival in our laboratory!
We made two kinds, one miso-flavored and the other soy sauce-flavored, and both were delicious!
It was a little cold, but everyone who attended seemed to enjoy it very much!

味噌味と醤油味の2種類を作りましたが，どちらとも美味しかったです！
少し寒かったですが，参加した皆さんは非常に楽しんでいる様子でした！
Hello, this is Katayama from B4.
The results of the graduate school entrance examination were announced the other day, and three fourth-year undergraduate students in Takizawa Laboratory have been accepted!
I am relieved that all of us were able to pass the exam without any problems, and at the same time, I renewed my determination to work even harder for my graduation research, which is about to begin in earnest.
I would like to express my sincere gratitude to my professors and seniors for their constant support during the preparation period for the graduate school examinations.
I will do my best even after entering graduate school!

先日、大学院入試の結果が発表され、滝沢研究室に所属する学部4年生3名の合格が決定しました！
無事に全員で合格できたことにほっとしたと同時に、これから本格的に始まる卒業研究に向けてより一層頑張る覚悟を新たにしました。
院試の準備期間において、絶えずサポートしてくださった先生方や先輩方には心から感謝申し上げます。
大学院に進学してからも頑張っていきます！！
Tohoku University Cyberscience Center had a unveiling visiting tour of new supercomputer AOBA-1.5. Prof. Takizawa explained the detail of the supercomputer, and the explanations appeared in some newspapers and TV programs.
東北大学サイバーサイエンスセンターで、新スパコンAOBA-1.5の見学会を開催しました。滝沢教授が新スパコンの詳細を説明し、その内容がテレビや新聞でも掲載されました。
Prof. Takizawa gave an invited talk at NEC User Group Meeting held at DWD (Deutscher Wetterdienst, the German Meteorologilal Service). The talk is to introduce our new supercomputer named AOBA-1.5, which will start operation on August 1st, 2023.
滝沢教授が、ドイツ気象庁(DWD)で開催されたNECユーザーグループミーティングで招待講演をしました。新スパコンAOBA-1.5を紹介する内容です。AOBA-1.5は2023年8月1日より運用開始です。
As a welcome party for B3 and a farewell party for Dominik and Sun, we had a BBQ with our lab members.
Everyone enjoyed the BBQ very much after a long absence!
