Hello, I’m Watanabe, a first-year master’s student.
Tohoku University recently held its annual Open Campus, and the Takizawa Laboratory also introduced our research right next to the AOBA supercomputer!
As part of our exhibition, we presented the results of a flood simulation performed using AOBA, giving visitors an example of research conducted with a supercomputer.
We also held an AI-based quiz. In the quiz, we performed AI inference using both a CPU and a GPU and visualized the computational load for each, allowing visitors to experience the differences between CPUs and GPUs.
We hope to continue our research and present interesting research results at next year’s Open Campus as well!
